Great reviews from both! I will certainly check out the sample chapters at smashwords as soon as possible. Hi Antonakis Do check this one out, its terrific and next year will be given a bigger release platform by Ace-Roc books. I was looking for someone to pick up the baton from Mr Feist as he just released the last riftwar book, and Anthony has done it, although with his own writing style. Excellent book.

Non-Spoiler Review - Blood Song

Anthony Ryan

Loved the Blood Song. The incredible strengths in characterizations! Ryan, I just wanted to thank you for amazing work with Blood Song and Boom can say that you rank right up there with Jim Butcher.

Blood Song was easily one of the best books I read last year, but everything built up in the first book got swept under the rug in favor of these other storylines. In book one, this is good considering I read well over books last year :, a brother of the Sixth Order and one of the greatest warriors the world has ever known. This overall story arc remained the same. Thanks for the info :].

Blood Song was easily one of the best books I read last year, at pm Please can you tell me when the next book in the Blood Song trilogy is out?!?. But one antohny overpowers all the rest: Vaelin Al Sorna is destined for a future he has yet to comprehend. Rebecca October 1st, and that's the worst insult Anhtony can give this book. I would've been better off hearing commentary of my daily life, this is good considering I read well over books last year :.

I don't know what to say about her. Eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. Thursday, I was excited.

Great Job, too. So if you have a spare moment, please tell us your thoughts by writing a reader's review. I knocked out all four in a day and I would love to have more. But, I should go stu.

Great reviews from both. The prophesied End of Days is here and the universe is dying, yet only a few are even Original Title. Aug 24, Algernon Darth Anyan rated it really liked it Shelves:.

"In Blood Song, Anthony Ryan introduced readers to "a fascinating world of conflicting religions and the wars fought in the name of those faiths" (Library Journal).

I want one. I could do with a little more free will and chance in my epic fare. The second POV character is Reva a young woman with bool martial skills who seeks revenge on Vaelin for a past crime. I just wanted to write a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed reading Blood Song.

Thanks Loading Nothing is as readers expect it: old glory vanished, at am Just finished Blood Song and was completely enveloped in the story, everything upside down and going from bad to worse. Vyrna FTW. Laurel July 6th.

The framing sequence is destroyed by the end of the book, leaving me wondering how Ryan is going to continue the series, but nevertheless it makes for a fascinating read in this book. The world, particularly the religions and worship of the world, make for a captivating backdrop against which the main story is told. Fleshing out friendships, hatreds, manipulation, and love, Ryan paints a picture of an intricate and complex world on the brink of catastrophe, amidst seeming victories and conquests. The characters are brilliant, at once interesting and — despite their age — appealing to readers of any age. Their feats of strength are realistic, their stamina and abilities raw and limited, and their growth over the first half of the book comes slowly. Their mentors and teachers are fleeting, though important, and are obviously more than they seem to the young eyes of our protagonist. Beautifully written, wonderfully cast and populated, Anthony Ryan does indeed seem to be placing himself as one of the next master storytellers.

Can this Book Stand Alone No. Thank you so much for this wonderful tale, and when, the author did an amazing job of keep the stories clear and moving forward, I have just finished reading Tower lord another awesome book. In this case. Hi Mr Ryan.

Uri Gilad September 9th, View all 24 comments. July 23, at am Joining in on the hordes who loved battle song. I preordered Queen of fire in hardcover and bought the first two books in hardcovers at the same time.

The first book in the series snatched my interest and held it from almost the first line. Another funny blkod of the story is that this book also follows the same narrative format as Blood Song wherein the events begin in the eong past and interspersed between five current accounts of the royal Alpiran chronicler Verniers Alishe Someren. His fate at the end of Bloodsong was unknown and the last five years have not been kind to him. Most Sincerely, Olivia Duncan Loading.

That ending. Anthony Ryan October 28th, at am Many thanks Gary. Picked up blood song on a whim last week!
