The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson became a favorite for all three of my kids when they were toddlers. Pollyanna Pollyanna, 1 by Eleanor H! Dory is a girl with an imagination too wild for everyone else.So few books feature girls who are smart and resourceful. This is a well-written STEM story that shows the challenges of getting along with others and staying true to yourself. Not all of these would I give her to read, but the main point is to keep her interest and love of reading going. It's a very detail orientated long novel!
