Our Chef's 99 Most Requested Recipes – Whitetail Heaven OutfittersI had thought this was just a small 'pamphlet size' cookbook and was pleasantly surprised it is about an inch thick!! I was also nicely surprised it has a lot of recipes from pizza to peach pies and everything in between - something for every meal of the day using a variety of different Lodge cast iron skillets, Dutch Ovens, pizza pans, etc. The book is nicely done and has what book makers call "flexi-cover", so it is sturdy, has a lots of color photos, tips, and little stories of how people use their Lodge Cast Iron Cookware. I'm glad I bought it as it has opened a whole new world of cast iron cooking for me that goes beyond my usual cornbread, bacon, eggs, and chili cooking I've done in all my Lodge Cast Iron Cookware!!! This is an excellent set of recipes for anyone who has cast iron cookware.

Gave hints and how to's for your cooking and care of your cast iron. Kindle Editiongood layout. Needless to say, I need all of the help I can get. Loge variation, from people who are fans of cast iron; and yet they also began to sound the same, pages. It was neat to see all the stories throughout!
June 17, 4 Comments. Hood for a night. That was nearly eleven years ago and I have enjoyed cooking from this book ever since. Incidentally, the chef for the cookbook is Swedish. From the particularly Swedish slant, there are recipes for Swedish Cream with Raspberry Sauce and a variation on the classic Swedish Wild Rose Hip Soup nyponsoppa that incorporates raspberries. One of the strengths of this cookbook is that the majority of the recipes are not overly complex and the directions are straightforward so the home cook can successfully recreate the dishes. Organized by season, it highlights Pacific Northwest ingredients that are not difficult to find in season in a regular grocery store.
