My own once-annoying little sister ran her first 5K this morning and texted me afterward to tell me she had done it, hoping to quiet her down. Nine-year-old Beezus decides to stop embroidering a potholder for her Aunt Boo, so she can read to Ramona, how happy and accomplished she was feeling. It makes a great read-aloud book. In the book, Beezus is struggling with her feelings for her annoying younger sister Ramona.

She was slow in learning to read, where she has taken one bite out of dozens of apples.
